Knowledge and Practices of Nurses Working in Intensive Care on Drug-Drug Interaction

Purpose:This study was conducted to examine the knowledge and practices of nurses working in intensive care unit about drug-drug interaction. Materials Methods: This with 186 shifts 12 units. "Nurse information form", "Drug-drug interaction questionnaire" prepared by researcher, "nurse observation form" were used data collection. The obtained from evaluated computer environment using frequency, percentage distribution Chi-square test. Results:In study, 76.3% reported that they did not know which drug pairs encountered frequently caused interactions. When drugs administered examined, it determined 34.4% them had potential for It found nurses' practices, staff status styles, time institution, profession effective. there significant differences between units (p=0.043) encountered. Conclusion:It have desired level interactions interacting pairs, where worked. is recommended increase giving regular trainings on
